Who we are
rndio is the personal website of Rendio Simamora, a software engineer based in Sumatra, Indonesia. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
What this website collects
This site is intentionally low-data. The server records only the information needed to deliver a page and to keep the site secure.
- Server access logs including IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. These are retained for a short period for security and abuse prevention.
- Content you submit yourself through the contact form or the comment form: the name, email address and message you choose to type, plus the timestamp of submission.
- A single authentication cookie, strictly necessary, so a signed-in administrator stays signed in.
Cookies and local storage
This website uses cookies and browser local storage. Some are strictly necessary and always active; others require your consent.
- Authentication cookie — strictly necessary. Required to keep an administrator session, expires after a limited period.
- Consent preference (local storage, key rndio.consent.v2) — strictly necessary. Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so the choice is not asked again.
- Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Tag Manager, Google AdSense) — optional. Only enabled if you accept.
Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is used to load analytics and advertising tags. Until you accept, Consent Mode is set to denied, so no analytics or advertising storage is written.
If you accept, Google Analytics records anonymised page views — the page path, page title and referrer. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data.
Google AdSense and advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.
If you reject, Google still serves advertisements, but they are non-personalised and are not linked to your activity here. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and/or other sites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookie use at aboutads.info, for a list of participating vendors.
Object storage
Images uploaded through the editor are stored in an S3-compatible bucket served over plain HTTP from a first-party domain, so viewing a page does not send a third-party referrer.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data held about you — for example the name and email address attached to a message you sent through the contact form. Such requests can be made by email and will be answered within a reasonable period.
Because the site is operated by a single individual for a personal project, there is no organisation behind it and no automated decision-making or profiling applied to you.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and no data is knowingly collected from them.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
